Hi,

I have just bought a Vigor 166 G.Fast Modem to use with my WiFi 6 router and EE Fibre max 300 connection.

My broadband username is readytoconnect@fs

The guide says for the broadband password "you'll need the login details or the password that came with your EE router"

My question is does that mean the Wireless password/key or Admin password or something else? I do not have any other passwords other than my EE login to web account?

Any help gratefully received.

Thanks yes I’ve read them but it’s not clear.

it says follow these instruction if your broadband user name is readytoconnect@fs and links to this

where it’s says

I want to know if that means the WiFi password the admin login or my ee webpage login it’s not very clear to me which password it refers to

No it is not the wifi password - that is only for wifi on that router.

Your broadband username and password will be PRODUCTIONXXXXYYYYY.fs and the section describes how the password follows.

But when I login to my EE router it says my broadband name is readytoconnect@fs

I have no information about PRODUCTIONXXXXYYYYY.fs what are the x and ys meant to be?

Is your service live yet?

I understood the readytoconnect changed once the router went live, but maybe that is just on ADSL/.

As a matter of explanation :

The BB Username & pwd are for connecting to the EE network & being authenticated to be able to go on the Net. They are independent of the WiFi pwd/key & of the router's admin pwd which serve completely separate purposes.

Your BB Username is not "readytoconnect@fs". That's just the initial factory-set value until your EE router makes a full connection with BB & is authenticated thro' the EE network. After which it is fully populated with your true BB Username which you will now find on the Advanced Settings/ Technical Log/ Information page, Your BB Username is of the form "PRODUCTIONHQNUN123456@fs".

Worked first time no issues, broadband speed is a tad faster than the EE smart hub and wifi is exceptional using an Asus rt-ax92u WiFi6 router recommend!
