I recently had an automatic update on my phone. The reverse camera has stopped working ever since. it will let me take pictures but only with the front camera. I understand that this has happened to a lot of others pixel 3a users aswell. does anybody know if this has been resolved yet. Thanks

@Angenorth have you tried doing a factory restore on the device ? obviously back up the device 1st to make sure you keep your information.

yes ive done a reset. when i open the camera it says there was a problem opening. and that there may be a problem with the hardware/software

Hi @Angenorth.

Can you open up the camera at all, or do you get this error when you try to open the camera?

Was this just a regular software update?

I can only open the camera for selfies, it wont let me flip to the other camera. and yes it started doing this after a automatic update

Do you get any error message when you try to flip the camera?

Is there another update to be done, or are you now on the latest software?

Does this still occur when the handset is in safe mode? Not being able to launch and use the rear camera?

Are you using any 3rd party camera apps from the Play store?
