I was advised that my Motorola G 5g would work with the Samsung smart watche 3 and also looking at the Samsung support page also listed my phone as compatible, so paired the phone and watch with no problems however I can't put the watch onto Mobile data it will only work via Bluetooth, which is pretty pointless paying for a contract that doesn't work! Can anyone help please, I really wanted this watch but will have to return if it's not connectable to mobile data

Hi @Alisontortoise1.

Welcome to the community.

Were you advised that the watch would work with 4/5G with this phone?

The Samsung Website states that some features will be unavailable with alternative branded phones.

Do you have an account set up for standalone usage?

Thanks for your reply, yes I have a data package for the watch and was advised they'd work together - so looks like this is the feature that doesn't work with other phones, such a shame as really liked the watch
