Anyone planning on buying a watch elsewhere and planning on transferring their existing plan to the new watch should be aware that you will be charged DOUBLE for a month as the cancellation of your existing line undergoes the cancellation period.

This is because the new watch (even though you just want to transfer you plan) counts as a new sim - it is an eSim so it can't just physically be moved.

I had a plan for over 3 years with EE and just wanted to move plans on to a new watch. Got told I would still be charged for the old watch - both now cancelled and will be cancelling all other contracts with EE as soon as I can without penalty.

thanks @Chris_B ,

I tried to do that but was told that it could not simply be moved as it was an eSim so I would have to pay the £7 for the 'new' eSim as well as the cancellation period on the old one.

When I unpaired it, the Watch app told me to call 150 quoting 003 - that's what I did...

I don’t know why you got told it can not be done. That’s rubbish.

Thanks again. I've cancelled it all now - maybe had I had the right advice, I might still be an EE customer for my watch rather than a disgruntled (formerly happy) customer...
