I just got off the phone after an hour talking to 150 ... We had a misunderstanding and she accidentally deleted my second account number from my account that included a data sim. However, after she deleted the second account number - the data activation for the watch went through. So basically it seems that the issue I have been having and others here for years seem to occur if you have multiple account numbers. So my issue was fixed by

1. Remove additional account number

2. Leave One account number with main phone line

3. Add watch data plan through the watch app

4. Re-add phone number to ee account

I then asked her to

5. merge the account numbers so I had one account with three numbers (Phone, Data and Watch Data)

6. Remove now closed account number that used to be used for data plan

Took a while - but we got there..

I purchased an Apple Watch before I had EE - now with EE I remembered that EE is one of the supported providers for the data plan .. So I am trying to connect the watch to my account to get the data plan to no avail.

I am going in loops with customer service for ages but no one seem to understand what it is I am trying to do here.

One rep send me a link how to connect a watch that was not purchased through EE to your account .. I tried that and get stuck here:

Your chat and phone support keep telling me different stories - none of which gets me any further. Guy on the phone tells me I don't need a second plan but the wizard will automatically set another line up, charges me £5 and that's it - the guy on the chat tells me I need a second line to make this work.

I am seriously frustrated now - SURELY I cannot be the first guy that did that with his own watch.

And whilst typing this and getting off the phone after sitting for ages in the phone queue - the guy on the chat tells me I need to call 150.

Seriously - that is pathetic ...
