Usually yes, but the process depends on where your number is currently. Are you on EE PAYG now or something else?

I’m with EE now and want to move to upgrade of SIM only as I want to buy a phone outright.

Hi @Hebmck If you just want to upgrade your plan go to the upgrade section of MyEE and you can pick a SIM only plan.

Thank you @chistery . When I buy my new phone I assume I just put my sim in and it will transfer my old number and date to the new phone?

The number belongs to the SIM, so by moving the SIM, the number moves with it.

As for your data, you may need to copy it over. Depending on your phone it will often copy data over when you set it up, asking what you want to copy over, accounts, data, photos, etc.
