Flashing light

Hi my Samsung A40 has just started to flash when I press the side key. Sometimes when I press it, it will just continue to flash and have a blank screen and won't bring up my home screen.When I put the phone on lock it will also flash. I have tried resetting my phone multiple times but it does not help.Any advice?

Welcome to the community.

Is it the screen that is flashing? I know you've said that you have reset the phone. Have you tried restoring it to factory settings? Here are a couple of articles with instructions on how to do that:
