I have a query re my Doro 8050 , on the EE android system there is no drop down menu in contacts to merge contacts ?? But on the same phone using Vodaphone's android system the drop down menu exists why have EE not got this on their system -I have as a result a lot of duplicates showing - I could transfer the contacts between my two google accounts but this is time consuming .

@Mikerou1 Who knows and no here will know. It’s a public forum that doesn’t have this information.

just to ask are the firmware numbers the same ? As it’s Doro AB who create the software for the device.

I have found a work around for anyone else - I have several contact sources - Basically if you are in all contacts you cannot amalgamate contacts at all on the EE android system .

So what I did was to transfer contacts between google accounts on my phone time consuming yes but that way I was able to organise the contacts - so for example one google accounts set of contacts are for say work contacts - the other google account was everyone else - by transferring the contacts across I then was in a position to change from all contacts to the specific google contacts for the work contacts - this then allowed for the drop down menu of merging duplicate contacts to appear. Once these were sorted out I then did the same with the second google account .. Time consuming very - but it has cleared the majority of duplicate contacts .

There are some still showing and these appear to relate to the whatsapp app and as yet I have not figured out a way to sort those as yet .
