Unlocking gffgaff phone

I purchased a Samsung s7 from giffgaff thinking I was getting a good deal turns out I was wrong my grandson is contracted to ee his phone is broken because he is autistic I thought it was just a case of putting the sim from his old s6 into the refurbished s7 but it comes up with invalid sim network locked any help would be appreciated giffgaff are useless.

It sounds like the refurbished S7 is locked to another network - did Giffgaff advertise it as such or did they claim it was unlocked?

Welcome to the community.

I'm sorry to hear that. Your grandson's SIM should work in any EE or unlocked phone. As this one is locked to Giffgaff, I'd recommend getting in touch with them to see if it can be unlocked.
