Back up and restoring

Just upgraded, had a Huawei but gone back to Samsung. How do I transfer my contacts, photos, messages to my new phone? Not very techie so struggling. May have to go back to shop.

You can transfer the data from your old phone using a USB cable. Please see this Samsung Support article for more information.

I have used Samsung's Smart Switch app, when I was helping somebody upgrading their handset (Samsung to Samsung), wireless transfer method, was very straight forward. I was quite surprised how straight forward it was to use; fast transferring too.

If your Huawei model has access to the Play store you could download the Samsung Smart Switch app to the Huawei device and attempt the transfer to your new device.
