After receiving the May 2021 security update would I be right in saying EE has dropped support for the Android 11 update? Or it isn't really a priority? Receiving only one major update in 2 years doesn't seem good practice to me, especially for a flagship device

But wouldn't EE have to test the update before it gets pushed out to the devices, especially considering the 7 pro was the first 5g phone on their network?

I understand what you are saying, but ultimately I'm EE's customer, not Oneplus' so surely EE would have some responsibility? At least to push OnePlus to get the update out?

The regular 7 pro has received the update, I haven't and yet I'm paying premium prices for a phone that looks like it will receive only one major software update in 2 years.

@Ambrecne The update when available comes from Oneplus not EE. EE just approve the update for Oneplus to push out. It’s down to Oneplus to create as build of the software that doesn’t have any faults with it, EE will then test it and give the Ok for it to be pushed out. this can take awhile as Oneplus don’t just make software for one network to approve.

And as much as you say your not Oneplus customer you are when it comes to phone software updates. EE didn’t make the device or create the software on it and are not responsible if Oneplus drop support for the device.
