Fingerprint reader is having difficulty

My 'moto g8 Plus' is suddenly having difficulty recognising my finger print, it's a bit hit and miss, mostly miss. I do not think my fingerprint is the problem, as other devices do recognise the fingerprint on the same finger. Suggestions please, thank you.

Hi @Hannes

Have you changed the screen protector? I've had issues with thicker screen protectors.

If not, give the screen a clean and reboot. I've even experienced this as i've been washing my hands more often.

One more tip is to delete your finger print, then scan it again. You can also scan the same finger twice to improve recognition.
