SOUND MUFFLED

I have a Samsung galaxy A40 which worked fine but now sound is muffled, and cannot hear people clearly both to my ear and on speaker phone. Any suggestions please

Welcome to the community.

I'd recommend restarting the phone, in case this is related to the network connection. Also, please make sure nothing is covering the speakers/microphone (stickers/cases etc).

Is it just the volume that is low, or is the call breaking up as if the connection isn't very strong, @wen4?

Does this affect all functions that use your phone's speaker - for example, videos and music?

I'd recommend backing up all of your information and restore the phone to factory settings.
