I'm thinking of buying a used EE locked Pixel 3a from eBay. I would want to buy an unlock code from EE, but it says they won't give one for a phone reported lost/stolen. What should I do if I buy one, but it's lost/stolen?

Do you mean if the phone has been reported as lost previously, and then sold to you?

If a phone is reported lost or stolen to us, it will be blacklisted and not usable.

Yes. I mean should I get a refund through PayPal, and then should I send it into EE? I'm not sure.

It may be worth looking into eBay's terms and conditions, @GGTI88

They may organise the return to the original seller. All I could say for sure is that it wouldn't be unlocked if it's been reported as lost or stolen previously.
