&lt;P&gt;Is this happening in any &amp;amp; all apps that use sound? And is it affecting both the earpiece and loudspeaker mode?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You could try the various steps in &lt;A href="https://www.samsung.com/ie/support/mobile-devices/what-to-do-if-the-sound-on-your-galaxy-smartphone-is-not-working-properly/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;this&lt;/A&gt; Samsung support article.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If all software solutions fail to resolve this, then your next step will be to start backing up all your phone's data with a view to performing a factory reset.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;That will indicate whether this is a hardware fault or software issue.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
