Huawei P30 Pro- problem with using it

Hi everyone- help please.

Just taken delivery of a P30 Pro. Used phone clone to transfer apps etc form my old P20 Lite. All went smoothly. But I'm missing the home and return 'buttons on the bottom of the screen. Swiping doesn't work for me so is there any way the 'buttons' can be reinstated?

This is really maddening as if that is all I can do, swipe to go back, I'll have to return the phone as it's useless to me.

@TonyT3 depending on how you’ve set the device up you can turn these on/off. You’ll find this within the settings of the device.

Well done- you were right-it is in settings but very well disguised/buried. Just found it (more by accident ;)) ) and it works.
