My Partner makes a call from his Huawei and I can't hear him but he can hear me? I can hear him if he plugs headphones in?

Sounds like your partner's phone might have an issue with his microphone.

Can he test this by maybe using a sound recording app, or calling other people?

Thanks for the message he has tried to call a friend with the same problem. Not sure what mean by a recording app?

If you have, or can install, an app that is designed to record sounds that you can hear - perhaps a stock (inbuilt) "sound recorder" or something similar.

This would then be a good test of whether the phone's microphone is faulty, or it's just not working for voice calls.

When on a call, you could double check on the phone call screen that the call isn't actively muted?

Also worth trying a test call while the handset is in "safe mode"?

- Double check the application permissions for the phone call/dialler app?

- Force a re-install/clear cache of the phone call dialler app

- Are they using the default phone dialler app?

Just a few items to try if you haven't already!
