Hi, I want to buy my son a Apple Watch but I’m struggling to find the one I need.

He had a iPhone 13 on contract which his dad pays for.

he will want to use his own number and already gets unlimited data.

if I buy him a watch, would he be able to use it off his phone? if so… which plan would I need to buy?

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

To use a paired plan, where you can receive calls and texts from your phone number when out out of range of the phone, the watch must be on the same account as the phone.

With a family plan, the watch will have a different telephone number when out of range of the iPhone it is paired with.
