iPhone Diverting to another number

My iPhone keeps diverting to an old number, if I don't answer it immediately. I have been into the settings for call forwarding, but it is switched off. How does it keep connecting to the other mobile number ?

The other number did belong to me, when I used that phone for work I have now left that employment, but they keep getting my calls/voicemails.

Have you tried resetting your network settings, or restoring your phone to factory settings (after backing it up).
