I completed an order for a pay monthly iPhone 12 Pro yesterday, they took my £30 upfront payment, then had an email telling me I had to phone to complete my order why is this?

@Jasmine259 Because they want to confirm this with you and until you call your order will not be processed.

Does this mean my credit check has passed then? They just want to confirm it’s me placing the order?

The @Chris_B ,is correct but to add EE are having issues with their CS phone lines so you might need to call later or tomorrow.
