@ethangray036 It might not as it’ll depend on model type and whether Apple can produce enough of that model type for any orders that got placed before yours. Apples own waiting lists are from 3 to 5 weeks

@ethangray036 , not sure why you have to receive it this week, but the only people, who can let you know the answer is EE customer service, but they may not have the answer, as yet, as @Chris_B has explained.

I was told on the phone my device would be coming next week after i ordered on the 27th of Sep??

Quite bad promising me that my device is going to come when they have lied.
