Apple TV remote not working

My apple 4k remote is not connecting. I have charged it but it's not charging, usually has a pop up. I have unplugged the box, switched on again. I have tried to pair the remote again. I have also tried clicking all the buttons to remove any dirt trapped underneath. Nothing has worked. Called 150 but nothing for TV support. How to I request a new remote?

How old is the Apple TV, calling Apple maybe a better bet?

I got it through ee , part of broad band and TV deal, march 2019, as they discontinued the ee TV box.

You can buy replacement ones on Amazon for £7-8 maybe not Apple branded but should work. It maybe the quickest route for you, getting someone to give you a free replacement after 2 years maybe a struggle.
