iPhone upgrade moving apps

Hi, I’ve upgraded from iPhone XR to iPhone 12 and since yesterday my apps all all still downloading. What am I doing wrong as now it’s nearly 12 hours and they still look in the same place as they did yesterday.

Is your phone connected to WiFi?

If you tap on one of the apps, what happens?

Thank you so much. It was connected to wi fi and I had to switch off and connect again. Ended up ringing apple.
