Ee sent me a iphone for Japan

I’ve just recieved my new iPhone11 on my new contract with EE and I’ve been unable to turn the annoying camera sound off, reading up and checking my model no there’s a letter J which indicates it’s meant for Japan market and they’re not allowed to turn the camera sound off.

where do I stand with my iPhone now as I don’t want a phone I can’t turn the shutter sound off?

Thanks for coming to the community.

If you mute the sound using the Ring/Silent switch on the side of your iPhone, does this turn the camera shutter sound off?

Hi no unfortunately it doesn’t as it’s a model setup for Japan and basically you can’t turn the sounds off!
