Apple News - Payment not completed

I have the apple news voucher from 150, but when I go to redeem it I always get the message "Payment not completed" at the bottom of the screen. Any ideas? Do I need to ask for another code?

If you text NEWSPLUS to 150 you get a link that you click on to redeem the voucher for apple news. When I click on the link it goes to the news app and says redeem now, when I click on the the next screen comes up with an App store message saying Apple News + with 5 months free promotion but it the bottom it says payment not completed.

I've only just joined EE - one of the things that convinced me to move was the Apple News offer
