Iphone 8 won't turn on even when charged.

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has had the same problem with their iphone. My iphone 8 was plugged in when I went to bed the night before last and my phone turned itself off and wouldn't turn back on at all for ages and made my charger stop working at the same time?! Brought a new charger and was fine until about 20 minutes ago when its gone blank again and not even the charging/battery icon is popping up at all. Any suggestions??? I can't call EE or Apple as it's my only phone.

Welcome to the community, @Isabelle97

Could you try force restarting your iPhone 8?

The Apple website says to: 'Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the side button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button'.

Let me know if that works.

Thanks for the response, I have tried this quite a few times as I did some googling before I posted on here. Not due to upgrade until June and I can't afford to upgrade early at the moment either and I'm freaking out. I have important phone calls coming through at some point in the next week and I don't have another phone/house phone as we only moved in 6 months ago. Really hoping I can get it working... ahhh!!! x

Can you try the force restart when your phone is plugged in and on charge?

Thank you but I've tried that also. I'm in desperate need of replacing my phone so I need to order a new one but Im disappointed it's only lasted less than a year and a half.

You could try contacting Apple Support to see if they have any additional suggestions.

They may be able to advise further on this.
