Good evening. I went into the pontefract shop today. To get an Apple Watch series 6 cellular and gps to be told I had to be on a pay monthly contract and my sim only With EE would Not work. Is this correct?

I got the feeling my sim only for EE. He wanted me to take a new contract phone and I don’t want to.
