Apple watch series 5 cellular plan

Hello.

I have just bought an Apple watch series 5 cellular and want to understand can I use my existing data plan to activate the cellular function on the watch, i.e. make calls read emails; or do I need to purchase a completely separate plan to do this? My current plan is this one: 5G SIM Plan 24m 100GB £20

If I need a separate sim to use the watch does that mean I need two data plans and is this standard for all UK networks?

If you'd like to use the cellular features of your watch, you'll need a separate data plan.

You'll be prompted to purchase a plan during setup.
