Hi @MadelineAshton

Have you restarted your phone? And also as a first bit of investigation, checked your area for known faults ?

The most common reason for mobile data being disabled when a voice call is active, is that you're using a network layer that doesn't support simultaneous voice & data - which in EE's case is mainly 2G.

I'm on pay monthly and it never used to do this. I've tried googling but no one seems to have an answer. It's so annoying because I can't use the internet at all now when I'm on a call which isn't very useful! Just to clarify, there's no 4G, 3G, 2G or that E symbol, the whole thing just disappears. I have an iPhone 11.

Hiya, yeah I've restarted my phone a few times and reset network settings too. There are no faults in my area but I've been on EE for a while now and I swear it didn't always do this. Having to put the phone down when I want to use a map or something is just madness!

Take a look at this Apple support page, what icons are displayed on your phone screen?

The best thing to do would be to look at what the display says at the top just before you make your call if it is E or GPRS then you can’t use data at the same time as speaking.
