Engaged tone

Hi. There’s no engaged tone when I’m already on a call therefore giving the impression I’m not answering their calls. How do I put an engaged tone on my phone please?

In addition to @James_B reply, this page also explains how to disable Call Waiting on iPhones.

Not having call waiting should mean that any incoming call when you're already on a call, will either get an engaged tone or your voicemail - depending how your Answerphone is set.

I have disabled call waiting and calls now go straight to my answerphone. I’m not sure how to change that option as you mentioned I could. Sorry! But thank you. That’s better than before.
