I am wanting to Purchase an Apple Watch Series 5 with GPS and Cellular. Does the Cellular mean the watch will have its own number or will it have the same number as my IPhone. The watch offers unlimited data would this be for the watch only or can this be shared with your iPhone too if it’s on the same account.

Also does the cellular mean you can be contacted my non IPhone users or is it for just iMessaging etc when you IPhone isn’t in range.

@Rosierowley The watch has its own data allowance and can not be shared with the iPhone. The watch will be linked to your account so you can receive calls and text via both devices if someone calls your iPhone. The watch because it has a data allowance will receive any texts and iMessages that are sent to your iPhone as it’s paired to your EE phone account.

Can you just clarify that if someone text me from a Samsung to my phone number would this come through on a Apple Watch if my IPhone wasn’t in range.

Yes, you would receive texts and calls from any phone without your iPhone being in range, if you have the Apple Watch data plan 🙂
