I do use the website rather than the app as it won't let me open it without
setting up this PIN. As you say, there are so many scams around that
surely fingerprint access is one of the safest.

In order to see my pension I was asked to set up another app to get a
passkey but I declined that, too, and have to use OTPC to my phone which I
am happy to do.

I don't think a PIN is all that secure especially as some people are using
the same one or particularly their bank PIN. My passwords are all unique
and have meaning to me in connection with the app. As they are not
connected to myself or family I think it very unlikely anyone would be able
to discover them.

No, I will forgo the use of their app and continue to use the website,
that is if I decide to stay with EE!

I cannot get past this step on my RE app without setting up a PIN. I am happy with my password which I can remember but I would not remember some random number. Is there anyway I can get round this? At the moment I cannot use the app because of this.

Not private enough. Each card has it's unique pin. At 80 that is quite
enough numbers to remember. Thanks for the suggestion, yhough

Hi @BBSS

I can imagine it's frustrating when the app is asking you to set up a PIN.

Is there a 'Skip' option displayed just under the screen that's asking you to set up the PIN?

Thanks for letting us know @BBSS.

If you set up a biometric verification option, such as face recognition or fingerprint recognition, your app shouldn't ask you to set up a PIN in future.

What's stopping you from just choosing one of your existing bank PINs and using that? Just choose the card you use the most frequently, and thus whose PIN comes to mind the most prominently, and hey presto.

That is not secure and certainly wouldn't be recommended by your bank! I
don't want a pin. I have had a mobile phone for more man 35 years so have
probably had the app for as long as it's been available. Why now am I
asked for a PIN? No, not going to happen, I would sooner not use the app.
