Welcome to the community.

I recommend resetting the network settings on your iPhone. This should reset any associations with the EE App. You may need to re-set up your WiFi connections after it though.

Tap Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset All Settings > Follow the prompts.

Let me know if it works better after that please.

Have been using EE App since August, obliged to if I want to set schedules.
iPhone 12 iOS 26.1
The app insists on acting like it's my default browser. Click on an in message link or scan a QR code and it opens the EE App.
Have checked my default browser settings. Have changed from Chrome to Safari (and back again) Have reinstalled the EE app and repeated all of the above.

Infuriating.

Trying to set up a new Aplle watch, which requires scanning a QR code. Will have to remove the EE App to do this and then reinstall it again.

Any suggestions most welcome

Hi,

Interesting suggestion, thanks. I've given it a try.

Theis problem exists when I'm on 5G so would seem to be independent of stored network settings, regardless I gave it a go.

I would have been somewhat appalled if some sloppy architecture in the EE App required me to wipe my complete history of network settings. Stored network IDs/passwords should not be in conflict with default browser settings... but then, some proprietary app to talk to a router shouldn't be required when I can do almost everything via a web browser.... and that App should not be in conflict with my default browser or network settings.

As it turns out I'm slightly more appalled that having deleted the EE app earlier to scan the QR codes I needed to access I then re-installed it. Had to rename my network to reconnect the app to router. Named it back to what I want it to be. Deleted all my network settings from phone and still the EE app acts like it's my default browser.

At least I can now look forward to having to track down the various wi-fi passwords I use in the multiple sites I work at.

Any other ideas most welcome.

Thanks for your helpful comment Chris.

That's an example... the point is ANY QR code or a link within an e-mail, etc. triggers the EE App to open instead of Chrome/Safari etc. whichever I have set as my default browser.

I'd recommend giving us a call and speaking with our technical care team.

The team may be able to provide some more ideas on a fix.

Alternatively, they can look into raising a ticket for further information.
