As per the old thread you initially added to, a PAC is for porting your number between networks not within the same one. An upgrade means changing your phone or plan whilst keeping your existing number as a matter of course.

Can you post a screenshot of the page you're seeing? The symptoms are consistent with you inadvertently ordering a new line, rather than upgrading an existing one.

Hi, I’m having the same problem. When I am going through the checkout process for my upgrade, there are 2 options - keep number (for which I need the pac which I can’t seem to get because my kids’ phones are also on my account) or get a new number. I can’t progress unless I complete one of these options.

any ideas?
