Hi, all

Is it possible to assign a friendly name to each plan/SIM on your account? I appreciate that the app can be permitted to match your contacts to fill in friendly names and photos, but those don't persist on the web site - and it's still not obvious from a list of mobile numbers which device a number belongs to (phone, watch, tablet etc).

EE developers: would it be possible to replace the unhelpful ("SIM 25GB 24m £12 T" and "Paired Watch SIM 1m £7") with text of the account holder's choosing (e.g. "Fred's phone", "Wendy's watch", "Tim's tablet")?

Thanks,
Steve

PS Apologies - I'm suspect this has already been asked, but I couldn't find it with a search of the forum.

Good afternoon @coordinated.

Welcome to the EE Community 😊

We don't have any way to assign separate labels to the lines on your account bar it reading your contacts like you mentioned.

I can certainly pass this on as an idea to look at in the future though, as I can se why this would be handy!

Thanks for the swift reply, Peter - and for passing on the feature request 🙂

This would also save the app having to prompt for permissions to access all of the contacts on my phone, which I'd rather not do when I only need to describe 5 numbers (and in a style of my choosing) ... and which doesn't feel in the spirit of the GDPR.

(If the app is going to keep doing this, it would be helpful if it at least read the contact's field descriptor assigned to the number – like "iPhone" or "Watch")
