Hi

Tks for your reply. I understood that, but I have no intention of keeping the app open & am prepared to be inconvenienced by it's behaviour. It just means that I'll rarely use it. So far, it appears that the PlusNet app wins, but I have no choice as Plusnet Mobile is closing 😞

Kind regards
Mark

Having just joined EE, setup the App with my credentials & specified Fingerprint access, I'm wondering why it requires the password & prompts me to setup a new Pin, EVERY time I log back in.

As I always logoff when I'm not using the App, should it not just request fingerprint access! Or am I overlooking something?

Thanks for coming here.

Does the same happen if you stay logged in and access the app again?

Which device are you using?

Hi Leanne,

First, my device is a Pixel 6a, and the issue does not occur if I stay logged in. In such a case, I can open the App via my fingerprint.

When I log out, there is a msg 'If you log out, your app specific settings will be reset'. So, the behaviour when I reopen the 'logged out' app is consistent with the msg.

The developers have either assumed that all users want to stay logged in, or they are trying to enforce that action. I can't think of any other App that I use that works like this. Certainly, I'm glad they don't design Banking apps - such a crazy idea!

Kind regards
Mark

When you logout it removes the settings it stores.I think as the app uses the web browser interface it just removes the cookies stored. If I don't logout and just swipe away it does just expect fingerprint verification. Its by design I believe as the app does have the option to send back connectivity issues in the background when logged in but not if logged out
