what is the cheapest way to use my phone on holiday in egypt

going for ten days,dont want to end up with a huge bill

Thanks for coming to the community.

Charges and add-ons for using your phone in Egypt can be found in our EE Roaming in Egypt Help page.

If you have a pay monthly account with us, you will need to check your set up for roaming.

To do this you can log into your My EE account online go to Menu > Account Settings > Parental and Data Controls > Enable Roaming and also Make calls abroad from the UK > They will show as ticked if roaming and calling abroad is activated.

Hey there,

The answer may be get a local sim to use whilst you're in Egypt.

Personally, I use the dual sim feature on iPhone so keep my UK sim in and switched on (although with data roaming off) so I still receive calls and my number is still linked to iMessage and WhatsApp but then also use a local sim for the data connection, paying local rates.
