Hi myself my husband and two children all have phones on contract with EE taken out after July 2021. We go to Egypt on 17/2/22 please can you confirm what is the most cost effective way to use our phones and if its worth purchasing data - plus can I gift the data with the family like I can do with the inclusive data I have in UK? Thanks

As it is not in EU, you cannot use your usual UK allowances there but will need to pay the charges or buy roaming add-ons as set out in https://ee.co.uk/help/help-new/roaming-costs/countries/egypt .

You can't gift data to your family while they are there as, for the same reason, your usual UK allowances are not valid there

If you are on contract, remember to text ROAMING to 150 before you leave UK to check roaming is enabled on your accounts.

Contract dates before or after July 2021 are irrelevant outside the EU.
