When I renewed my BT Broadband contract in March I was told that BT Mobile was being transferred to ee, They arranged to transfer my number over and I am now an ee Mobile customer, albeit an unhappy one at present!

My issue now is that despite never ever having an issue with the BT signal I'm now getting only one bar showing on my phone.

I've raised a complaint but frankly got nowhere, a friend said to look up the Signal Strength in Sim card status which I've done.

According to what I've read online the reading is rubbish, -114 dBm 26 asu.

Has anyone got any ideas?

TIA

How is it anywhere other than in the home?

Hi @MeToo

As others have said, the signal bars on your phone are only a rough guide and one bar should be perfectly usable. Are you having problems making or receiving calls?

RSRP of -114dbM by itself is actually better than the measurement my phone has currently, but it's not causing me any service issues.

That said, if the "problem" follows your SIM regardless of which phone it is used in, then that's a good indicator of the source.

Here we go again, after putting up with poor signal reception since my last complaint I still have virtually no sinal wherever i go, and little or no 4g reception.

You will see from my useage each month that I am using so little of my allowance and this is why.

Frankly i do not believe that the service I am paying for is fit for purpose. The coverage that I am getting is patchy to say the least.

I had an accident in my car last week with 3 Scouts in the car, I could not call the RAC or get a 4g signal to even log my breakdown on their website, and had to rely on a passing motorist and borrow his phone. Whilst using his phone I also called a fellow Leader at the campsite for him to come and collect those boys. The passing motorist was on 3 and obviously had a good signal.

The other Scout Leader was also on 3 and tells me that he never has a problem on 3 either.

My phone takes 2 sim cards, the other sim card provider is Asda and again I haven't had any issues with reception on that, although unfortunately I had no credit on that sim at the time of the accident.

The problem is not with my phone, I have changed their order in the sim card tray, I have tried it in my old phone and also that other Scout Leaders phone.

This is just not acceptable!

Your posts on this public internet forum are unlikely to be treated by EE as a complaint.

However - are you saying that this problem is following your SIM regardless of which phone it's used in? Or is it consistent to your phone, irrespective of SIM?

Previous messages in this thread imply a SIM issue and recommended reporting that with a view to replacement. Have you done this?

Exactly the same problem here. But when I checked the network status in my area, EE is upgrading, so some problems may be experienced. I’ll wait and see if it’s going to improve when they are done 😉
