Sim not working

Okay, first, I find it ridiculous if you cannot call someone. It’s all through text, which doesn’t help at all because it just feeds absolute nonsense.

I have an issue where I have got an upgrade and when I put my old SIM card on the new phone it recognizes the sim, but I get no signal. This is the second time it has happened, and I had to go into the store. The closest store is like an hour away, so there is an alternative way to fix this. Many thanks.

Great to hear you have an upgrade. I know you'll be keen to get up and running as quickly as possible!

Does your old SIM still work if you pop it back into the old phone?
Curiously, does your old phone have signal and work without the physical SIM in it? If so this would indicate you actually have an eSIM, and explain why the physical SIM doesn't work in the new phone.

If you have no signal on either new or old phone, even after transferring the SIM card back, it would mean your connection has been moved to a different SIM, or it's faulty.

At this stage it you'd either have to locate the correct SIM and use it.
Or if you can't find it either pop into the store, or call customer service from a different phone, where a guide will be able to send a new pre-activated SIM to you in the post.

It works on my old phone just not the new one I’ve tried resetting network settings, turning phone on and off nothing works

What make/model is the old phone and what make/model is the new phone?
