I have been charged for photos I did not send . I have never sent photos in the 10 years or more I have been with BT/ EE , why now???

@richo1944 : Your allowances do not include the sending of MMS, sometimes called Photo Msgs.

If when you are sending texts (SMS) they are sometimes converted by your phone into MMS when they include non-textual things in them such as emotions or emojis - see Text Messages Converting to Photo Messages . Your phone should warn you it is doing this & in some cases you can config it not to convert emotions or emojis.

Sounds like you've got an entry for Multimedia Message on your bill, in which case this would only normally happen if you select a photo/video on your phone, and choose the prompt to send to a mobile number.

This sends using your phone's messaging app, but converts it to a photo message with an on-screen prompt.

Sending photos via either email or an internet-based app such as Messenger, WhatsApp or similar, would count towards your data allowance.
