Can't receive calls - but can make calls - ON WIFI CALLING

West midlands - 100% reliant on calls over wifi

Can make calls fine - but nobody can get through to my phone

Seems better when it drops back onto 4g out in the garden

Have restarted phone / activated Plane mode / Wifi Call then comes back.. but nobody can get through

Is it just me?

What happens with incoming calls when your phone is using WiFi-calling?

Is there any difference when you're on an active call?

How long has this been a problem?

Can you send & receive texts while on VoWiFi?

It just seems to be a problem with calls over wifi - but I can still make calls fine - just cant recieve them and there is no answer phone option... its just dead when people call my number.

Yet its fine when I'm away from the house and not on wifi (unfortunatley no signal whatso ever inside - so I'm totally reliant on calls over wifi)

You've not answered whether incoming calls function (as call waiting) when you're already on a call. Nor whether you can receive text messages.

How long have you had this problem?

Text messages - yes fine

Call waiting / incoming at the same time tricky to test

But calls - outdoors within same postcode (ie: not over wifi) - also fine

Thanks for taking the time to reach out to us about this!

Whilst simple, as a first port of call can you please make sure that your handset is fully up to date at the moment?

Also don't worry if you're not sure, but are you aware of whether other WiFi networks exhibit the same issue, or is it just via your home network you've tried this?

4 hours later - seems fine again now - receiving calls over wifi all okay

Sorry to drag this back up again - was fine again - until now, just noticed the same happening:

Calls Over Wifi (essential)

I Can call people - no problem

Peole try an call me - but doesn't even ring out. All I get is missed call message.

If I turn 'wifi calling off' and leave the phone by a windo so it occasionally picks up the weak signal - people can call me again.

Not ideal.

I'd be interested to test whether an incoming call works when you're already on a call. The setup process is subtly different here, and that would be something to eliminate.

The next step could well be to provide dated & timed examples of missed calls, to EE-CS for further investigation.

Hi - that was a few phones ago!.. and also various wifi routers

Last few years its been brilliant - or on rare occasions when Wifi calling has not been available for whatever reason (we've had a few incidents when lots of users said the same thing.. problem lasts a few hours / 1 day.. with no signal at all)

Also in those previous incidents its been when 'calls over wifi' has literally not been available on the phone. That hasn't been the case this week - it still shows as ' wifi calling' on the top left of the screen

I think the next step would be to speak with our Technical Support team so they can look into it further. As @bristolian said, it would be great if you have some dates and timestamps of when it happened, as that will help with their investigation.
