Can't receive messages from anybody besides 150

I'm on a pay-as-you-go contract and suddenly I can't receive messages on my phone but can still get messages from 150.

I can still make phone calls

That is odd that only texts are affected and not calls. Are you able to send outgoing texts to other numbers?

If you can send texts to your own number the texts should be sending for you.

Are the texts being sent to UK mobile numbers? Is this affecting more than one number?

What happens when you try sending texts?

The texts are being sent to UK numbers. It is only my number that cannot send messages. When I send a message it appears as though it has been sent but the person I send the message to does bot receive the message

Your phone does not know whether a particular number is its own when you're sending a text - it submits to EE's SMS server in any case, that server then does the routing.

So to put simply - when you say "it appears as though it has been sent", do you mean your phone displays "message sent"?

If you receive your own text, it further proves that messages you send are being received. Is there any pattern to the messages that are not being received - Android/Apple phones? Particular networks?

My phone does say "message sent" but the person I send the message to does not get the message. This happens when I send myself messages too. I'm not really sure what's Supposed to happen when I send myself a message, I don't get a notification or anything it just says "message sent".

I can't send messages to anyone and can't receive messages from anyone not even paypal. The only number that can send me messages is the ee 150 number

What model of phone are you using right now, and were you using the same phone when you could successfully send and receive messages in the past?

Is your mobile data working as it should be, too?

I'm using a Samsung S10.

Yes I was using this same phone in the past, it just randomly stopped working

My mobile data is working perfectly fine

Can you try Clearing the cache and data for the messaging app, to do this please go to Settings > Apps > Messages > Storage > Clear Cache/Clear Data.

Have you restarted the phone?

Unlike emails which have an element of "pull" about them, text messages are a "push" technology in that they're sent to phones from the central server as & when available.

If you're able to send messages successfully, then something has changed for them to "randomly" stop working. If it's genuinely random, a phone issue is most likely - but probably only solved by a factory reset, with associated loss of user data.

Some CS bods may be able to check SMS logs to see the reasons for incoming SMS not being forwarded out - testing sending to yourself provides ideal examples.
