I have recently taken out a Sim only account with 2 SIM cards, one for me and one for my wife. Although they are different phones and numbers when she sends a text message it shows at the recipients end as though I sent it. Is this due to the fact that both sims are linked to my account and my number is the default. I tried technical support and all they said was take the phones into my nearest EE shop and they can sort it out.

I would love to help you get a resolution to this.

Just to confirm when you send a message from your sim card is your number showing correctly?

What handset does your wife have the Sim card in?

Does the correct number show when your wife makes calls?

I wouldn't be surprised if this is somehow related to a "chat" or app-facility.

Some other tests to help prove... send a text message from each phone to its own number. Does it receive OK? And does it show "from" the correct number?

Text NUMBER to 150 from each phone - is the response as expected?

Are you using Apple or Android? And were your previous phones the same?
