I cannot send text messages to my EU contacts

Hello, I cannot send text messages to my EU contacts. It says 'not delivered' - message send failure. I can call / text /send/ receive calls and texts to UK & call EU numbers. I am at home and also tried I-message. No issue with wifi. Thanks for support.

Whether your WiFi is working is of no relevance to this, if you can text other numbers.

These are unusual symptoms - your ability to call non-UK numbers disproves an international call bar and most likely a spend-cap also. Have you been able to send texts to foreign numbers previously?

Yes I have so I am not sure why this is happening. My spend cap has not changed or contract. I have a new phone as I lost mine but I don't think that would be the issue. I flagged the wifi as I-message don't get send either. Thanks.

If you select the contact in your phone app, does the number show correct?

Are the EU contacts using an iPhone?

Hi @Leanne_T it shows correctly. I can call but not text or iMessage get sent with the 2 French numbers. I can exchange iMessage with a New York number. Could this be due to receivers in France but odd as it was not the case in the past (1).

@Ketsia7 iMessage is an instant messaging service like WhatsApp but only Apple to Apple devices. It’s not even an EE service . Out of curiosity can these numbers iMessage and text message you ? it sounds like something is happening over in France if it’s both text and iMessage more so if these devices are connected to a cellular connection and not WiFi.
