I can't hear people on calls

Since Thursday 6th March am I have not been able to hear people on my phone. I can text and call out and receive calls but cannot hear the other end although they hear me perfectly. I don't hear ringing tones when I call out either but can see when they have answered, just can't hear them. I am a dinosaur and have an old Nokia (or two!) I have tested my sim in both so know it is not my phone. A local phone shop told me it's an EE problem. I have used my landline to call them (at 39p a minute) but was disconnected after it rang twice. Help please! Is it possible that an update has effectively scrapped my phones?

I have exactly this problem too. I have two old Nokias and same on both. Looks like they are now obsolete, courtesy EE?

Can you be more specific about which "old Nokias" you have?

I am having the same problem with my friend it is a Nokia 1100 he is on a farm and is not working when in this area but if we go down to the nearest town we can hear properly now

Hi there - one of them is a 6303 ci and the other a C2. Suspect problem is 2G. I have manged to speak to EE and this is a known problem at the moment so it's a waiting game... Thanks for your interest - I found another thread on same problem with a link to a "call me now" at EE and I successfully used this.
