Hi James
When the calls drop out my phone disconnects from the Wi-fi and then consequently the Wi-fi calling also disappears. I don’t think it’s jumping to the phone signal as there is no signal in the house at all. There are four phones in the house and it happens to all of them to some extent but not all at the same time. That’s what’s strange.
We use EE 4G Wi-fi from a dish across the valley. Speeds are consistently good.
The engineer came to try and fix this issue (from Dyfed Telecom who set it up for us). He is coming back tomorrow, hopefully with a new router for us to try. Will let you know!

Sent from my iPhone

This is a really interesting thread as we have exactly the same problem and it seems to be getting worse - dropping off every few minutes this morning. Have had an engineer out who failed to fix it and reckoned it is our phones which are the problem. Unlikely that 3 phones would all be faulty I think! We have a business contract and are paying for a service which is very inconsistent and frustrating. Can’t bear the thought of calling a call centre and getting cut off, then having to start the whole conversation with someone new.
If anyone manages to sort this please let us know!

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

When your calls drop, do they still show as connected to WiFi Calling or has your phone switched to the mobile network?

What was the purpose of the engineers visit? Did our Tech Gurus identify an issue with your broadband/WiFi connection?

This would suggest the problem is with the WiFi.

Either the wireless connection between your phone & router, or the onward internet connection from the router.

Do other devices, such as tablets & laptops, also lose wireless connectivity at the same time?

Problem solved! I narrowed the problem down to the router and asked Dyfed Telecom to change it which seems to have solved it. Phew!

Sent from my iPhone

Hi,

im about to join Dyfed telecom - can you tell me what the issue with the router was and which router you had? We rely on wifi calling so would be good to head off any issues!
