I recently upgraded my EE plan to the full works plan and it has given me 5G SA as an add on, however there is no option for me to enable it on my iPhone. I have replaced the eSIM that I am using and ensured that my phone is up to date, but still nothing has come up. Is there anything else I need to do in order to enable it?

Hi @davidlehan1 @Chris_B @Den123

How wonderful this just works automatically on Android.

I would add to @davidlehan1 it is unlikely you will see any difference to your 5G connection and that this service is invisible to most users. If you think about it rationally the more people who upgrade to this plan makes it less unique and therefore irrelevant other than clever marketing to sell a more expensive product on the basis you are somone "special",

Thanks

Luckily enough I was due an upgrade which will make my plan cheaper due to one of my add ons now being an inclusive extra, it would be nice to see how much of a difference it would make (if any) with it on, and I envy you for having it work straight away!

Yeah I'll see if a phyiscal SIM will give me the option to enable it, and I checked carrier settings but it seems up to date. Going from other peoples posts it seems that they got a text from EE saying they need to restart their phone to finish network updates or something of that sort; I never got this text. Do you think it would be wise ringing CS and see if they could possibly push this text or whatever else is needed?

This is when we update your network profile at our end, and whilst it is something our team can request manually, it's only under certain circumstances.

It's definitely worth reaching out to our team though, and they'll be able to check all of your settings at our end, run through some troubleshooting, and fingers crossed get this sorted out.
