Repeat texts sent from my Google Pixel 6a.

Recipients of my texts have been receiving repeat SMS text within my current texts. How do I resolve this issue?

Are all your recipients receiving duplicate texts or just certain ones?

If it's multiple recipients, have you tried switching your device off and back on?

Hi Ali, currently it's only one person. The conversation that is being repeated is about a text I sent on text during the summer.

My phone has subsequently had a new SIM upgrade in August this year.

@cwilli74 Do you see the duplicate messages on the conversation your side or is it just the recipients side? Are the messages the exact same time and date and is the background colour of the message the same?

If it is just effecting one contact, try deleting that contact and then re-adding it. I would also recommend clearing the app cache for your messaging app. You can do this going to Settings> Apps> Messages app> Storage> Clear cache.
