topic SIM trouble in Mobile Services

Recently renewed my phone contract(SIM only), and my phone is now showing “no sim” and I can no longer make calls to contact EE about this issue. I was not told I had to do anything extra to activate my new contract. If anyone could help me that’d be great as I also can’t access my data and I need that in order to work

Sounds like you've changed your priceplan from phone-based to SIM-only. What is the exact error message your phone is showing?

Aside from that, your SIM is what allows your phone to connect to a mobile network. Without that permission, no network means no calls, texts or mobile data. "No SIM" is an unusual form of words, but also very suggestive of the underlying problem.
